Opencl driver install#
Use Ubuntu 20.04, kernel 5.8+, AMDGPU version = 20.50, install regular version using amdgpu-install -y -opencl=legacy,rocr -no-dkms -headless I found an alternate way of doing it that installs flawlessly and does not brick my system. However, I tried and GPU worked right away. I tried the script without any hope and was sure it failed because the installation speed was 10 times faster (I use a USB stick as a storage device and it is slow) than the installation vis amdgpu-install.
Opencl driver drivers#
Either because of "signature problem" or GPU drivers failed to install due to a wrong kernel.
